List messages

Browse messages in the connected Twilio account.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Twilio connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
CursortextOptional. Continuation value from the PageToken query value in next_page_uri. Omit for the first page. Copy it unchanged and keep the same filters. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
LimitnumberOptional. Maximum items requested in this page. Omit for 25; use a whole number from 1 to 100. The provider may return fewer items.

Result

Returns messages and next_page_uri when more exist. Extract the PageToken query value from that URI and put only that value into Cursor, not the full URI.

Example

Choose your Twilio Account and add List messages. Set Limit = 10. Leave Cursor unset for the first page. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Errors and limits

Check account SID, sender capabilities, destination format, balance and trial-number restrictions. Queued does not prove carrier delivery. Reconnect an unavailable connection in Settings > Connectors. Isolated tests and live debugging do not contact external services; Use live data is needed for an intended live call. If rate-limited, wait before retrying. Total input is limited to 64 KiB and results to 2 MiB; use smaller pages, narrower filters or less depth when too large. Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Get message

Read a Twilio message’s status and details by SID.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Twilio connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
MessagetextRequired. Message SID, commonly beginning with SM, copied unchanged from an earlier message result in the connected Twilio account. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns the message object with sid, status, from, to and available fields such as error_code.

Example

Choose your Twilio Account and add Get message. Set Message = "SM00000000000000000000000000000001". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Send SMS message

Submit an SMS through the connected Twilio account.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Twilio connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
FromtextRequired. Twilio sender allowed by your account, normally an international +countrycode number that supports the destination. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
TotextRequired. Destination in international +countrycode format. Trial accounts may require verification; provider charges can apply. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
BodytextRequired. SMS text. Long content may become multiple billable segments; no media is attached. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns the message object with sid and status, such as queued. Carrier delivery occurs separately; sending and multiple segments can incur charges.

Example

Choose your Twilio Account and add Send SMS message. Set From = "+15005550006"; To = "+15005550009"; Body = "Hello from the demo workflow.". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Test safely

Isolated tests and live debugging do not call connected providers. Enable Use live data only when you intend to contact the account. Writes, messages and AI requests can change real data or incur provider charges. A successful connection check does not prove access to every action. These examples explain the command contract; they are not evidence of a completed live provider request.
