List project tasks

Browse tasks belonging to an Asana project.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Asana connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
ProjecttextRequired. Asana project gid from its link. Only tasks in this project are listed. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
CursortextOptional. Continuation value from next_page.offset. Omit for the first page. Copy it unchanged and keep the same filters. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
LimitnumberOptional. Maximum items requested in this page. Omit for 25; use a whole number from 1 to 100. The provider may return fewer items.

Result

Returns task summaries in data and next_page.offset when another page exists. Put that offset into Cursor; use Get task for details.

Example

Choose your Asana Account and add List project tasks. Set Project = "1200000000000001"; Limit = 10. Leave Cursor unset for the first page. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Errors and limits

Check gids and workspace/project membership. Creating a workspace task does not automatically add it to a project. Reconnect an unavailable connection in Settings > Connectors. Isolated tests and live debugging do not contact external services; Use live data is needed for an intended live call. If rate-limited, wait before retrying. Total input is limited to 64 KiB and results to 2 MiB; use smaller pages, narrower filters or less depth when too large. Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Get task

Read the default details of an Asana task.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Asana connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
TasktextRequired. Asana task gid from a task link or List project tasks. Use its ID, not the title. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns the task under data, including gid and available task details.

Example

Choose your Asana Account and add Get task. Set Task = "1200000000000002". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Create task

Create an Asana workspace task with optional plain text notes.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Asana connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
WorkspacetextRequired. Asana workspace gid for the new task. This is not a project ID; the task is not automatically added to a project. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
NametextRequired. Title for the new Asana task. Each successful run creates a new task. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
NotestextOptional. Plain text task details. Omit if only a title is needed; this command does not send rich-text notes. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns the new task under data, including gid. This command does not automatically add it to a project.

Example

Choose your Asana Account and add Create task. Set Workspace = "1200000000000000"; Name = "Review demo request". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Test safely

Isolated tests and live debugging do not call connected providers. Enable Use live data only when you intend to contact the account. Writes, messages and AI requests can change real data or incur provider charges. A successful connection check does not prove access to every action. These examples explain the command contract; they are not evidence of a completed live provider request.
