List records

Read rows from one table with an optional formula filter.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Airtable connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
BasetextRequired. Base ID beginning with app, from the base link or Airtable API documentation. The token must have access to this base. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
TabletextRequired. Table ID beginning with tbl, or the exact table name in Base. IDs remain stable if the table is renamed. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
Filter FormulatextOptional. Airtable formula such as {Status}="Open". Reference existing columns; omit to list without a formula filter. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
CursortextOptional. Continuation value from offset. Omit for the first page. Copy it unchanged and keep the same filters. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
LimitnumberOptional. Maximum items requested in this page. Omit for 25; use a whole number from 1 to 100. The provider may return fewer items.

Result

Returns records with id and fields, plus offset when another page exists. Put offset into Cursor and keep Base, Table and Filter_Formula unchanged.

Example

Choose your Airtable Account and add List records. Set Base = "appExampleBase1234"; Table = "Contacts"; Limit = 10. Leave Cursor unset for the first page. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Errors and limits

Check base access, table/record IDs, exact column names and types. Formula filters must reference existing columns. Reconnect an unavailable connection in Settings > Connectors. Isolated tests and live debugging do not contact external services; Use live data is needed for an intended live call. If rate-limited, wait before retrying. Total input is limited to 64 KiB and results to 2 MiB; use smaller pages, narrower filters or less depth when too large. Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Get record

Read the column values of one existing row.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Airtable connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.

TabletextRequired. Table ID beginning with tbl, or the exact table name in Base. IDs remain stable if the table is renamed. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
RecordtextRequired. Record ID beginning with rec from List records or Create record. It is not a row number. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns one record with id, fields and available creation information. Airtable may omit empty columns from fields.

Example

Choose your Airtable Account and add Get record. Set Base = "appExampleBase1234"; Table = "Contacts"; Record = "recExampleRecord1". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Errors and limits

Create record

Add one row using column names and values.

FieldsobjectRequired. Object mapping exact column names or IDs to values, such as {"Name":"Alex Demo","Email":"alex@example.test"}. Match each column type; an update changes only supplied columns. Supply an object, not text containing an object; all inputs together must fit within 64 KiB.

Result

Returns the created record with id and fields. Save id for updates; duplicate rows are not automatically detected.

Example

Choose your Airtable Account and add Create record. Set Base = "appExampleBase1234"; Table = "Contacts"; Fields = {"Name":"Alex Demo","Email":"alex@example.test"}. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Update record

Change selected columns on an existing row.

Result

Returns the updated record with id and fields. Columns omitted from Fields are not explicitly changed.

Example

Choose your Airtable Account and add Update record. Set Base = "appExampleBase1234"; Table = "Contacts"; Record = "recExampleRecord1"; Fields = {"Name":"Alex Demo","Email":"alex@example.test"}. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Errors and limits

Check base access, table/record IDs, exact column names and types. Formula filters must reference existing columns. Reconnect an unavailable connection in Settings > Connectors. Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Test safely

Isolated tests and live debugging do not call connected providers. Enable Use live data only when you intend to contact the account. Writes, messages and AI requests can change real data or incur provider charges. A successful connection check does not prove access to every action. These examples explain the command contract; they are not evidence of a completed live provider request.
