Search pages and data sources

Find pages and data sources shared with the connection by title.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Notion connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
QuerytextOptional. Words to match page or data source titles. Omit to browse shared items. This does not search full page contents. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
CursortextOptional. Continuation value from next_cursor. Omit for the first page. Copy it unchanged and keep the same filters. Twidget text limit: 32,768 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
LimitnumberOptional. Maximum items requested in this page. Omit for 25; use a whole number from 1 to 100. The provider may return fewer items.

Result

Returns results, has_more and next_cursor. Copy next_cursor into Cursor while has_more is true. This does not return every block inside a page.

Example

Choose your Notion Account and add Search pages and data sources. Set Query = "Project"; Limit = 10. Leave Cursor unset for the first page. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Errors and limits

Share the target page/data source with the connection. Check parent IDs, property names and value types; a database ID cannot replace a data source ID. Reconnect an unavailable connection in Settings > Connectors. Isolated tests and live debugging do not contact external services; Use live data is needed for an intended live call. If rate-limited, wait before retrying. Total input is limited to 64 KiB and results to 2 MiB; use smaller pages, narrower filters or less depth when too large. Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Get page

Read a shared page’s properties and parent information.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Notion connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
PagetextRequired. Page UUID from its Notion link or an earlier page result. Use the ID only; share the page with this connection. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.

Result

Returns the page object, including id, properties, parent and available URL. Page block contents are not retrieved.

Example

Choose your Notion Account and add Get page. Set Page = "11111111-1111-4111-8111-111111111111". These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Create page

Create a page beneath an existing page or data source.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Notion connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
ParentobjectRequired. Object selecting one parent: {"page_id":"your-page-id"} or {"data_source_id":"your-data-source-id"}. Use an ID from your own workspace. Supply an object, not text containing an object; all inputs together must fit within 64 KiB.
PropertiesobjectRequired. Object of Notion property values matching the parent. Under a normal page, use a title such as {"title":{"title":[{"text":{"content":"Demo page"}}]}}. Data source property names and types must match its schema. Supply an object, not text containing an object; all inputs together must fit within 64 KiB.
ChildrenlistOptional. List of block objects, for example [{"object":"block","type":"paragraph","paragraph":{"rich_text":[{"type":"text","text":{"content":"Hello"}}]}}]. Keep to Notion’s 100-block batch limit and the shared input-size limit. Twidget allows up to 1,000 list entries within 64 KiB total input; a lower provider batch limit still applies.

Result

Returns the created page object with id and properties. Reuse id for later page or block commands.

Example

Choose your Notion Account and add Create page. Set Parent = {"page_id":"11111111-1111-4111-8111-111111111111"}; Properties = {"title":{"title":[{"text":{"content":"Demo page"}}]}}. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Errors and limits

Query data source

Find rows/pages in a data source using an optional property filter.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Notion connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
Data SourcetextRequired. Data source UUID, not its parent database ID. Use a data source shared with the connection. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
FilterobjectOptional. One Notion filter object, for example {"property":"Status","select":{"equals":"Open"}}. Match an existing property and its type; omit for no filter. Supply an object, not text containing an object; all inputs together must fit within 64 KiB.

Keep Data_Source and Filter unchanged when using next_cursor as Cursor.

Example

Choose your Notion Account and add Query data source. Set Data_Source = "22222222-2222-4222-8222-222222222222"; Limit = 10. Leave Cursor unset for the first page. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. Inspect the returned result before continuing.

Append block children

Add supported child blocks beneath an existing page or block.

Inputs

InputTypeHow to use it
AccountAccountRequired. Choose a saved Notion connection from this workspace’s account selector. Create or reconnect it in Settings > Connectors first. Do not paste a password, API key or token into this field.
BlocktextRequired. Page or block UUID that will receive the new child blocks. The connection needs permission to edit it. Twidget text limit: 8,192 characters; provider-specific limits may be lower.
ChildrenlistRequired. List of block objects, for example [{"object":"block","type":"paragraph","paragraph":{"rich_text":[{"type":"text","text":{"content":"Hello"}}]}}]. Keep to Notion’s 100-block batch limit and the shared input-size limit. Twidget allows up to 1,000 list entries within 64 KiB total input; a lower provider batch limit still applies.

Result

Returns a list response containing new block objects in results. Existing child blocks are kept.

Example

Choose your Notion Account and add Append block children. Set Block = "11111111-1111-4111-8111-111111111111"; Children = [{"object":"block","type":"paragraph","paragraph":{"rich_text":[{"type":"text","text":{"content":"Hello"}}]}}]. These are illustrative values: replace example IDs and addresses with your own permitted test values. An intended live run creates/changes data or sends a message; inspect its receipt before repeating it.

Calls wait up to 30 seconds, or less if the workflow reaches its own time limit. A timeout does not prove that a create/send failed, so check the provider before repeating it.

Test safely

Isolated tests and live debugging do not call connected providers. Enable Use live data only when you intend to contact the account. Writes, messages and AI requests can change real data or incur provider charges. A successful connection check does not prove access to every action. These examples explain the command contract; they are not evidence of a completed live provider request.
